Job Description

Sutherland is looking for Licensed L&H Bilingual Agents.
Provide professional sales presentations via inbound and outbound phone calls to prospects seeking accident and health insurance from client.  This is accomplished by gathering pertinent information re insurance needs, accurately and concisely selling product features and benefits, thoroughly answering questions, setting proper expectations re the product and enrollment process, effectively responding to objections, and properly enrolling employees in clients enrollment system.  Inbound calls are received from clients national customer service center and various marketing campaigns and outbound calls are made to prospects who have submitted a quote request via clients various websites.
  • Receive inbound phone calls from prospects and use assumptive sales techniques to enroll them in one or more of clients insurance products.
  • Make outbound phone calls to prospects and use assumptive, effective sales techniques to enroll them in one or more of clients insurance products.
  • Manage prospect follow-up calls to ensure timely responses.
  • Utilize effective salesmanship and excellent customer service skills on all inbound and outbound calls.
  • Gather all required data necessary to sell insurance products to prospects.
  • Explain the sales process and insurance products.
  • Accurately process application/ information in clients sales systems.
  • Accurately track and record outcome of leads
  • Escalate issues to program manager as needed.



  • Fluent in written and spoken English (and Spanish where applicable)
  • Life and Health Insurance License in resident state
  • 2+ years of B2C telephone sales experience
  • High school diploma
  • High level of accuracy when completing tasks
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Typing skills of 30+ WPM
  • Track record for achieving sales results
  • Strong communication skills
  • Action oriented, takes initiative and seizes opportunities when they arise.
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to overcome customer objections
