Sutherland is seeking a reliable and organized person to join us as a Talent Specialist. The Talent Specialist will be the delivery engine for talent development and management, focusing on process management, leadership development, local coaching, and facilitation of career development journey. Talent Specialists in this role get to:
  • Deliver people initiatives and activities for assigned operating units and partner with other Talent Specialists and assigned Organizational Development Specialists to ensure consistency and quality in the development activities aimed at the talent needed to support our strategic business goals
  • Deliver core driven programs, policies, and practices to managers/staff in assigned local geography such as performance management, talent reviews, assessments, etc
  • Deliver within assigned local geography the development of unit’s identified top talent and executing on a comprehensive strategic leadership development plan for the unique needs of the unit’s line manager leadership teams
  • Provide local coaching and advice to managers and staff within area of expertise utilizing best practice knowledge and standardized approaches as determined by Design Center of Expertise
  • Have rotational facilitation ownership of high level career development journey programs
  • Be involved in the Design of Career Experience Journey& Delivery as necessary
  • Work with Organization Development Specialist and HR Business Partners to develop the design and architecture of the organization. Advising on, business specific OD interventions e.g. organization restructures, Change Management, Performance Management, After Action Reviews. Understanding and developing the health of the organization and the culture
  • Support the HR Operations team in further developing talent processes
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining a Learning Plan for the assigned client group and maintaining key management & personal development programs 
  • Act as a consultant to the business on strategic interventions based on the People Plan
  • Coach senior managers and account directors to develop their performance to support teams in creating strong leadership and collective responsibility
  • Contribute to strategic projects with other members of the HR team particularly where these impact Talent, Learning and Organization Development’s processes and systems
Our most successful candidates will have:
  • Relevant experience in leadership development, talent management, and learning and organizational change management 
  • A strong capability in content delivery, timing, quality, and communication
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge base in leadership development, facilitating talent review for high potential employee identification, manager development, 360 assessment tools, performance management, employee engagement, and career planning and development
  • Prior experience in large, multi-function organizations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, appropriate in a matrix organization
  • Ability to develop credibility and rapport and establish effective working relationships with all levels of leaders, business stakeholders and HR colleagues
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; strategic and innovative thinker
  • A proven ability to use influence skills to achieve results and effectively impact change
  • The ability to execute high-impact learning strategies that enhance people and business performance
  • A consultative leadership style that builds high-performing teams across multi-disciplined projects that consistently meet targets and realize organizational benefits; Results focused
  • The ability to collaborate with HR Business Partners and line leaders internationally
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and influencing skills and ability to facilitate across all levels of business
