ETL Architect/Tech Lead
Role:
- This role is Extensive client-facing consulting and hands-on programming/development.
- Implement world-class data solutions that meet clients’ diverse business objectives and needs.
- Manage a small team of developers on project delivery. Not looking for line management but must be delivery focused
- Lead business intelligence application solutions delivery across multiple programs/projects in the Data portfolio
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Balances various & conflicting support priorities
- Design and construct large ETL mappings, packages workflows.
- Gather requirements, work on high level design, implement (code) and deliver efficient and scalable DW solutions in high data growth environment.
- Supervise team activities including work scheduling, technical direction, and standard development practices; staff project and/or production support activities being mindful of the associated costs.
- Investigate production data issues and provide workaround/fixes for the issues per SLA
- Perform a variety of tasks to facilitate completion of projects including but not limited to coordinating communication with other functions, writing documentation and specifications, testing, and consulting.
- Understand data landscape i.e., tooling, tech stack, source systems etc. and work closely with client technology teams to improve data collection, quality, reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Responsible for data architecture, modelling, and governance to implement high-performance, highly secure solutions.
- Support pre-sales and solution engineering activities
- Mentor less experienced team members
Qualifications:
- Essential Skills:
- 10-12 Years of IT experience in Data Warehousing
- 5+ years’ experience in a data warehouse, data modelling, ETL, BI projects, Tableau, Oracle, Snowflake cloud data warehouse
- 5+ years’ experience working in client-facing, consulting roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ETL tools (Preferably DataStage)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Visualization tools (Tableau)
- 3+ years’ experience leading a technical team of data engineers.
- Desired Skills:
- Experience in Data Management, Data Warehouse Architecture/Design
- Experience in Data Migrations like On-Prem to Cloud, Oracle to Snowflake
- Experience in cloud warehouse projects in at least 2 of AWS, Azure, GCP cloud technologies
- Ability to work and communicate with both business and technical experts.
